About Me
- Name: Matron
- Location: Hillingdon, London, United Kingdom
I was born 20 yards from our allotment. My parents used to 'dig for victory' and never got out of the habit. I grew up on an allotment, so growing veggies is a way of life. I am also qualified as a dog behaviourist and I have set up my own business, www.blackdogdna.com

I would love to peep into those tins and see what you have stashed away!
It is so amazing how many seeds some plants produce.
Love the dogs, Bob has ours pretty well trained they usually do what they are told. They eat their greens because they go through the food processor with the other veggies and fruit. But they love munching on celery, broccoli or fruit of course.
Someone is going to be busy planting them!
When I look at my seeds half of them seem to be packets of carrots that I've got free when buying gardening magazines...
Hi Matron,
What a lot of seeds! I am off to Crufts on Sunday - looking forward to seeing all those well behaved terriers and hounds. Unlike my two little horrors (a Patterdale and a Jack RussellxPatterdale). They are lovely though.
I know feeling of going trough all those packets…I think the dog that didn’t obey is the most clever-I mean, any sensible dog would think-what the ef am we doing here! Its interesting how we as humans often define intelligence in a dog as the ones who will mindlessly do our biding!
You're not alone Matron! I've 6 biscuit tins crammed with packets - my precious treasures :)

I do like seed packets with pictures. All those perfect veg. I can just picture them in neat rows on my allotment.
I think the reality will be somewhat different.
Ha, ha....I've been doing the same thing! Going over all the seeds.
I love going through my seeds, although I may not do too many this year, I have so many other jobs to get done out in the garden, and a job to find! I shall be having a good old look through the seed catalogues for next year though. I am looking forward to seeing your progress on your allotment this year, it will make up for what I haven't got on my patch! x
I enjoy the obedience thingy the best at Crufts, that and agility.
This year the Dutch Kooiker hondje made its first appearance at Crufts.
Great! I always like to see other gardener's seed collections so I don't feel so guilty about mine. I bought another pile of seeds this week....
AND a double nice post, to see the obedient dogs. I know Skippy could do that too, if I took the time to work with him. It takes a lot of training time. I often feel bad that I can't do everything. I love the attentive expressions, not only on the dogs' faces but their whole bodies.
